Brighton Library Board Trustee Devin Steele Endorses Bridget Brink for Congress
Steele: “Bridget has shown that she will stand up and fight like hell for what’s right — even if it means risking her career to do so.”
LANSING, MI – Today, Brighton District Library Board Trustee Devin Steele endorsed Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s 7th District.
“Bridget Brink is exactly who we need fighting for us in Congress,” said Brighton District Library Board Trustee Devin Steele. “For me and many fellow members of Gen Z, the system feels stacked against us while DC politicians like Tom Barrett keep failing us. Bridget has shown that she will stand up and fight like hell for what’s right — even if it means risking her career to do so. She’ll be a champion for public education and libraries, affordable healthcare, better jobs, and an economy that works for the many, not just the few. That’s exactly why I’m endorsing Bridget to represent Livingston County and Michigan’s 7th District in Congress.”
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of Brighton Library Board Trustee Devin Steele," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “Too many feel that the American Dream is out of reach while DC gives tax breaks to the ultra rich. I’m running for Congress so that future generations of Michiganders have the same opportunities I had right here. I’ll fight to lower costs, make healthcare and housing more affordable, and bring good paying jobs to mid-Michigan. I’m so thankful to have Devin’s support in this fight.”
Devin Steele has served as a Trustee on the Brighton District Library Board since October 2024 and is one of the youngest officeholders in the 7th Congressional District. Steele also works for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office FOIA Department, assisting in coordinating and procuring various requests and managing the Department’s records for public availability. A native of Livingston County, he graduated from Brighton Area High School and is a resident of Whitmore Lake.
