Bridget Brink Announces "Restore and Reform Agenda" to Clean Up Washington and Protect our Democracy
Brink: “The chaos and corruption coming out of Washington is costing Michiganders. We need a principled, pragmatic reform agenda and leaders willing to fight like hell to restore faith in government and clean up Washington.”
LANSING, MI – Today, Democrat Bridget Brink, a lifelong public servant who resigned in April as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine to speak out against the Trump Administration’s policies, announced a new blueprint to clean up Washington and protect our democracy – the “Restore and Reform Agenda.”
Bridget has dedicated her life to making the hard calls, tackling the toughest problems, and holding the powerful, accountable. When she spoke out against the Trump Administration appeasing Putin in his war in Ukraine earlier this year, the New York Times wrote, “Brink developed a reputation as a powerful voice for reform, taking aim at government corruption and working to build durable democratic institutions.”
Now, Bridget is running for Congress to put power back in the hands of the people, restore trust in government, and defend our democracy.

“Throughout my career, I’ve held the powerful accountable and stood up against corruption at the highest levels. Right now, the chaos and corruption coming out of Washington is costing Michiganders,” said Bridget Brink, Democrat running for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. “I stood up to the Trump Administration when our values were on the line and I’m running for Congress because I believe our rights, our freedoms, and our very democracy are at stake. We are at a critical moment for our country. We need a principled reform agenda and leaders willing to fight like hell to reform Washington and restore faith in government. That means standing up for what’s right, speaking truth to power, and delivering real results — even if it means risking one’s career. I’ve done that throughout my 28 years of service to our country and I’ll do it again in Congress.”
