State Representative Joey Andrews Endorses Bridget Brink for Congress
Andrews: “Bridget has a proven track record of taking bold action and delivering results. That is exactly the kind of leadership our state needs in Washington in this critical moment.”
LANSING, MI – Today, State Representative Joey Andrews endorsed Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District.
“Not only is Bridget Brink the first woman to serve as U.S. Ambassador in a war zone, she’s a third-generation union member and sixth-generation Michigander,” said State Representative Joey Andrews. “Bridget has a proven track record of taking bold action and delivering results. That is exactly the kind of leadership our state needs in Washington in this critical moment. Bridget will fight to fix our broken health care system, take on the Trump Administration’s attacks on unions, and build an economy that works for families. I‘m proud to endorse her campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.”
“In Lansing, State Representative Joey Andrews is a champion for organized labor, our environment, and working families,” said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. “I am honored to have Representative Andrews’ support for our campaign to flip Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.”
State Representative Joey Andrews is serving his second term representing the 38th House District. Rep. Andrews is a fourth generation small business owner and attorney. Before running for public office, Andrews ran the Southwest Michigan region for the 2020 Michigan One Campaign. Andrews also dedicated his time to bringing more young and diverse voices into politics locally, assisting other campaigns in Southwest Michigan. After 2020, Andrews took a position with the Michigan AFL-CIO, first as its West Michigan regional field director and then as a policy analyst putting his legal education to work with his passion for labor and public policy. Rep. Andrews serves on the Energy Committee, Communications and Technology Committee, and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
