A new poll in Michigan’s 7th congressional district shows Bridget Brink is the strongest Democrat in the race to beat Republican Congressman Tom Barrett in 2026. ONE YEAR FROM ELECTION, BRINK IS THE STRONGEST CANDIDATE TO TAKE ON BARRETT
NEW POLL SHOWS BRINK THE BEST TO BEAT BARRETT: This week, a new PPP poll shows Bridget is the strongest general election Democrat, leading Barrett 45-41.

BRINK FUNDRAISING LEADS MI-07 FIELD: Bridget has raised the most of any Democrat in the race: raising $1.1 million in just 105 days, almost double of any other Democrat in the race. She started the fourth quarter with nearly double cash on hand than other Democrats. Bridget continues to build a strong grassroots campaign with close to 12,000 contributions, nearly 80% of which are $25 or less. In her first quarter in the race, Bridget raised the most of any first time candidate running in a battleground seat.
BRINK BUILDING A STRONG, MID-MICHIGAN ROOTED CAMPAIGN: Bridget’s campaign has picked up momentum with endorsements from:
former House Majority Whip and Michigan Congressman David Bonior
former MI-07 candidate, MSU Professor, and public education advocate Josh Cowen
former State Representative and former Lansing City Council Member Joan Bauer
Windsor Township Trustee Robert Gardner
Veterans for Responsible Leadership

BRINK’S PROVEN RECORD OF STANDING UP TO TRUMP WITH A UNIQUELY VULNERABLE BARRETT: Bridget dedicated her career to fighting for freedom, holding the powerful accountable, and standing up to corruption. She is the only candidate with a proven record of standing up to Trump: When Trump wouldn’t stand up to Putin, she resigned, spoke out, and is running for office to stand up against the Trump Administration’s harmful policies here at home. Bridget continues to crisscross mid-Michigan and listen to mid-Michigan families feeling the pain of the Trump Administration’s reckless policies that make life harder and more expensive, while Tom Barrett refuses to listen, or stand up to Trump.
HIGHLIGHT’S FROM BRIDGET’S CAMPAIGN:
Bridget on Detroit’s The Pulse with Roop Raj: “My campaign is about making things more affordable and making life easier for working families, about how to protect earned benefits for people, and how to protect our rights and freedoms. I’m about creating opportunity for everybody.”
Bridget in the Lansing State Journal: “Just as I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I watched Republicans in Washington cut health coverage for 25,000 mid-Michiganders, gut funding to lifesaving cancer research - including here at Michigan State - and vote to make health care more expensive for everyone.
Bridget on MSNBC Morning Joe: “Michiganders are worried about kitchen table issues: the reckless tariffs raising prices on everyday goods, like a 24% price hike on baby products, and cutting services to seniors, children, and veterans.”
Bridget on Lansing’s WLNS: “I’m running for Congress because the Trump Administration’s policies are hurting Michigan families: from reckless tariffs raising prices on everyday items, to cuts to healthcare that will mean many losing coverage.”
Bridget on Pod Save America: “It’s all about the economy, how do you make life more affordable? And what Trump is doing is right now with reckless tariffs, it’s making everything more expensive. With the big, ugly bill, it’s threatening to take away health insurance from 25,000 people in my district. And it will also increase the cost of health insurance for everybody else… We need to make policy based on what actually is true, and ensure we actually deliver.”
