Michigan Machinists Council Endorses Bridget Brink for Congress
Michigan Machinists President Rob Miller: “Bridget Brink is a third-generation union member who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to union rights throughout her life.”
LANSING, MI – Today, the Michigan Machinists Council (IAM), which represents more than 2,000 members, endorsed Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District.
“Bridget Brink is a third-generation union member who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to union rights throughout her life,” said Michigan Machinists Council President Rob Miller. “She knows what standing with organized labor entails, having been raised in a union family and belonging to a union herself for nearly three decades. We know that Bridget will always stand beside our members and join our fight — no matter what. She will be a champion for working families and unions in Congress. The Michigan Machinists Council is proud to endorse Bridget Brink’s candidacy for the Seventh Congressional District.”
“As a third-generation union member, I am so proud to have the endorsement of the Michigan Machinists Council," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “My family’s American Dream would not have been possible were it not for the collective power of organized labor. I’ve stood with unions my entire life — since long before I dreamt of running for office. In Congress, I will proudly support the PRO Act and fight like hell to protect collective bargaining and prevailing wages.”
