Michigan Laborers Endorse Bridget Brink for Congress
“Michigan’s Laborers — 14,000 strong — are proud to stand with Bridget Brink in her campaign for Congress because we know she will always stand with us.”
LANSING, MI – Today, the Michigan Laborers District Council (LIUNA), which represents more than 14,000 members, endorsed Democrat Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. Bridget, the only union member running in MI-07, is a proud third generation union member.
“A third-generation union member, Bridget Brink has been involved in organized labor for her entire life,” said LIUNA Local 499 Business Manager Dan Minton. “We know that Bridget will fight for the hard working men and women of LIUNA because she has personally felt the power of union membership. Michigan’s Laborers — over 14,000 strong — are proud to stand with Bridget Brink in her campaign for Congress because we know she will always stand with us.”
“Every day, Michigan’s Laborers work tirelessly to build a stronger Michigan. I am incredibly proud to have them standing with me in this fight for our future," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “The granddaughter of a Lansing autoworker and daughter of a proud union teacher, I owe my American Dream to the collective power of organized labor. For me, fighting for unions and working families isn’t just good policy — it’s personal.”
