Michigan Democratic Party Veterans Caucus Endorses Bridget Brink for Congress
“The MDP Veterans Caucus believes Bridget has what it takes to win this race, and we're proud to endorse her for Congress.”
LANSING, MI – Today, the Veterans Caucus of the Michigan Democratic Party endorsed Democrat Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District.
"This district is a battleground, and it will take political acumen and strength to win it back,” said MDP Veterans Caucus leadership in a joint statement. “Bridget Brink has already stood her ground against Russian aggression as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. She knows what it means to organize, fight and not back down. The MDP Veterans Caucus believes Bridget has what it takes to win this race, and we're proud to endorse her for Congress."
“As the granddaughter of two World War II veterans and a public servant who worked side-by-side with our brave military service members in every country in which I served and in conflict zones in Kosovo, Georgia, and Ukraine, earning the endorsement of the Michigan Democratic Party Veterans Caucus is an incredible honor for me," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “As a 28-year member of the U.S. Foreign Service, I had the privilege of working alongside the incredible men and women of the U.S. Armed Services throughout my career. I am so proud to have worked closely with our uniformed military officers to keep Americans safe at home. In Congress, I will work tirelessly with our community's veterans and military families to reverse Trump’s cuts to the VA, increase mental health services, and ensure that we properly support military members and their families. This is our solemn obligation to those who dedicate their lives to protect our nation.”
