Ingham County Commissioner Todd Tennis Endorses Bridget Brink for Congress
Tennis: “As a third-generation union member, Bridget will always stand in solidarity with organized labor. She will fight to lower costs and build an economy that works for mid-Michigan’s working families.”
LANSING, MI – Today, Ingham County Commissioner Todd Tennis endorsed Bridget Brink for Congress in Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District.
“Bridget Brink is a sixth-generation Michigander and former war zone ambassador who gave up her career to fight for what’s right,” said Ingham County Commissioner Todd Tennis. “As a third-generation union member, Bridget will always stand in solidarity with organized labor. She will fight to lower costs and build an economy that works for mid-Michigan’s working families. As a breast cancer survivor, Bridget is laser-focused on fixing our broken health care system and ensuring that public health services are fully funded. I am proud to support Bridget’s campaign to serve our community in Congress.”
“Ingham County Commissioner Todd Tennis is a tireless public servant who has been a champion for our county throughout his nearly 20 years on the Board of Commissioners," said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “I am honored to have Commissioner Tennis’s endorsement and look forward to partnering with him to ensure that all of our Ingham County neighbors have the opportunity to thrive.”
Todd Tennis has represented parts of Lansing and Delhi Twp. on the Ingham County Board of Commissioners since 2007. For most of those years he has chaired the Human Services Committee which oversees the Health Department, County Parks, the Veterans Affairs Department and other entities that work to improve the lives of Ingham County residents. He led the charge for the county to join in national opioid litigation and chairs the task force charged with distributing funds to community agencies that provide addiction treatment and prevention services. Todd is a lifelong Lansing resident and lives on the south side with his wife, Cheryl.
