Brink Leads MI-07 Field in New Poll
CAMPAIGN MOMENTUM CONTINUES FOLLOWING BRIDGET BRINK’S LEAD IN FUNDRAISING, POLLING, AND GRASSROOTS ENDORSEMENTS
Bridget Brink: “Mid-Michigan families are fed up with the chaos and corruption coming out of Washington. I'm running for Congress to lower costs for working families, fix our broken health care system, and hold Trump accountable. That’s exactly what I’ll do in Congress.”
LANSING, MI – Bridget Brink’s campaign for the 7th Congressional district released a new poll showing Brink with a double digit lead in the Democratic primary election in Michigan. This follows Brink’s announcement last week that her campaign was the #1 fundraiser among Democratic challengers in Michigan, with over $2.2 million total raised in just nine months. Her campaign also announced the strongest grassroots support across the district, with 33 endorsements, including 22 current and former local Michigan leaders.
Bridget Brink is the strongest candidate to win the Democratic nomination in Michigan’s 7th Congressional district. Even before the start of paid advertising, Brink begins the race with a double digit lead, with nearly a third of the vote at 31 percent. Brink leads William Lawrence by 17 points (31 percent to 14 percent) and Matt Maasdam by an even larger 24 points (31 percent to 7 percent). Brink is particularly strong with women voters across the district.
When voters are provided with positive background on all three candidates, Brink’s lead expands even more. Brink’s vote share grows to 58 percent, while Lawrence and Maasdam lag far behind, with 18 percent and 11 percent, respectively. A polling memo from GQR is attached.
