Brink: “Mid-Michigan families are fed up with the chaos and corruption coming out of Washington and ready to send leaders to Washington to hold the Trump Administration accountable and fight for what’s right.”
LANSING, MI – With six months to go until the Democratic primary in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, Bridget Brink continues to overwhelmingly lead the field to build the strongest grassroots campaign to defeat Rep. Tom Barrett in November.
Since launching her campaign in June 2025, Brink has raised over $1.6 million, including nearly $530,000 in the fourth quarter of 2025, her third consecutive quarter raising over half a million dollars. She starts 2026 with more than $1 million cash on hand, double any Democratic challenger in her race. Bridget’s grassroots campaign continues to build momentum with more than 21,000 contributions with nearly 80% of contributions $25 or less.
Brink continues to be the clear fundraising leader in the MI-07 Democratic primary: her $1.6 million fundraising total and more than $1 million cash on hand is $500,000 more than any candidate in the Democratic field in MI-07. Brink is also the #1 fundraiser among Democratic challengers in any House race in Michigan.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic support for our grassroots campaign to defeat Rep. Tom Barrett – taking back the House starts right here in mid-Michigan, and we’re just getting started,” said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. “Mid-Michigan families are fed up with the chaos and corruption coming out of Washington and ready to send leaders to Washington to hold the Trump Administration accountable and fight for what’s right. I’m running for Congress to lower costs, ensure health care is affordable and accessible, and hold the powerful accountable.”
