Bridget Brink Named Moms Demand Action "Gun Sense Candidate" in Race for MI-07
LANSING, MI – Today, Bridget Brink received the Gun Sense Candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action, the grassroots movement of Americans fighting for commonsense safety measures that can protect communities from gun violence, in her campaign for Congress in Michigan’s 7th District.
“As a mom, I’m horrified that gun violence is the number one cause of death for children in America. Today’s kids face a very different childhood than I did here in Michigan — having to participate in active shooter drills and go through metal detectors at school after too many tragedies,” said Bridget Brink, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Democrat running for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. “I’m honored to be a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate and I am committed to enacting commonsense gun reform and gun violence prevention measures in Congress.”
